Jennifer Grey (born Ma) is an American actress. She made her acting debut with the film Reckless (), and had her breakthrough with the teen comedy film Ferris Bueller's Day Off (). The daughter of Broadway legend Joel Grey and the granddaughter of famed Yiddish musician/ comedian Mickey Katz, Grey got her start in the NY theater, starring first in the off-Broadway hit Album, and later on Broadway in The Twilight of the Golds.
